Run mentorship programs on the people you manage in Gusto: download the Employee summary report, import with Mentorly's template, and let them sign in with your identity provider.
How It Works
From Gusto to a running program in three steps
Export
Export the people you want from Gusto: name, work email, department, job title and manager.
Import
Paste the columns into Mentorly's member template (email, name, mentor, role, cohort, tags and your onboarding questions) and import. Mentorly matches on email, so nothing is duplicated. The import writes every system column as it is in the file, blank included, so for a re-import start from Mentorly's member export.
Sign in
Your people sign in with SAML 2.0 from your identity provider, and get their Mentorly invitation when you send it.
Getting your people out of Gusto
In Gusto, open Reports and run the Employee summary report, which Gusto describes as your full employee directory export: name, work email, department, job title, manager and more, downloaded as CSV or Excel. A custom report lets you pick only the columns you need.
Signing in
Mentorly signs people in with SAML 2.0 from your identity provider (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and others). Gusto's own documentation describes its identity integrations as provisioning without single sign-on, so Mentorly sign-in goes through your identity provider rather than through Gusto.
About a live connector
Mentorly does not connect to the Gusto API today. Gusto's API (GET /v1/companies/{company_id}/employees, with name, work email, department, job title and manager) uses OAuth 2.0 with production access granted on review. A connector that reads your Gusto records on a schedule is scoped as a project with your team, not switched on in a settings page.
