How It Works
From SAP SuccessFactors to a running program in three steps
Export
Export the people you want from SAP SuccessFactors: name, work email, department, job title and manager.
Import
Paste the columns into Mentorly's member template (email, name, mentor, role, cohort, tags and your onboarding questions) and import. Mentorly matches on email, so nothing is duplicated. The import writes every system column as it is in the file, blank included, so for a re-import start from Mentorly's member export.
Sign in
Your people sign in with SAML 2.0 from your identity provider, and get their Mentorly invitation when you send it.
Getting your people out of SAP SuccessFactors
In Admin Center, search for Employee Export and choose Export User File. SAP documents the CSV columns: USERID, USERNAME, FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME, EMAIL, MANAGER, DEPARTMENT and more. Report Center can also download a people report as CSV or Excel.
Signing in
SAP documents SuccessFactors acting as a SAML 2.0 identity provider for other applications, and recommends SAP Cloud Identity Services for new setups. Either way, Mentorly accepts SAML 2.0 sign-in, so your people use their company login.
About a live connector
Mentorly does not connect to the SAP SuccessFactors API today. SuccessFactors exposes OData APIs for Employee Central (the Per and Emp entities) behind OAuth 2.0; SAP has deprecated basic authentication for them. A connector that reads your SAP SuccessFactors records on a schedule is scoped as a project with your team, not switched on in a settings page.
