Leading with Purpose: Mentorly Partners with CAPAW

We're proud to announce our newest partnership with CAPAW, the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans for Women, a national nonprofit dedicated to the enhancement and enrichment of leadership skills for women through education, networking, and mentorship. CAPAW develops whole person leaders, people who can lean into who they are with real self confidence.

About CAPAW

Mentorship sits at the heart of that mission. The CAPAW Mentorship Program intentionally creates a space for the community to support each other through common cultural challenges and professional roadblocks, in an environment that is encouraging and understanding. The goal is deep, lasting, mutually beneficial relationships where both mentors and mentees share wisdom and grow, personally and professionally.

What CAPAW Was Looking For

CAPAW needed a way to bring the whole program into one place. Somewhere to centralize and organize mentorship profiles, goals, and matching data, and to give their pairs an easy way to message, schedule appointments, share information, and meet. The less time spent keeping track of all that, the more time there is for the relationships the program exists to build.

Why Mentorly

CAPAW didn't choose lightly. They evaluated platforms on their capacity to grow with them, ease of use, availability of support, analytics, matching, affordability, and values alignment. As they put it: "Mentorly exceeded our expectations during the research period and continues to impress us! The platform continues to gain new features, and the support team is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with."

What's made the biggest difference day to day is how simple the platform is to administer. It cuts down on the tracking and the back and forth of email, and it gives the team an overview of the program whenever they need one. They stay organized without it eating up their time.

What Participants Are Saying

The relationships are already doing what they were meant to do. Here's some early feedback from participants in the program:

"We are able to have those honest conversations about how our culture plays a role in the workplace and also how our culture has shaped our perspectives. It is so wonderful to have someone who understands!"

"I always leave our meetings with new ideas and a new excitement to take on my challenges. I learn a lot from my mentor and I feel like we have a great connection!"

"This type of remote relationship-building encourages me to share more about my culture with others, both at the workplace and in my personal life."

That last one is worth sitting with. The program isn't just helping women move forward professionally. It's changing how they carry their culture and their identity into the rest of their lives.

What's Ahead

What CAPAW is most excited about is the partnership itself, the Mentorly team is a joy to work with, always looking for new ways to help with features, updates, insights, and resources. That kind of support frees CAPAW up to do what they do best: focus on their program and their people.

We're honoured to be part of it, and excited to keep growing alongside them.
