The best mentoring software in 2026, compared

By Ciprian Rarau, CTO. We make Mentorly. Checked against each vendor’s website in November 2026.

The best mentoring software for a large organization is the one that matches people on the program’s own criteria, lets the program team check every pair before anyone is told, and signs people in through the company’s identity provider. As of November 2026, we rank Mentorly first for programs whose matching is hard to do by hand and whose people work in English and French: Startup Canada participants gave it a 94% satisfaction rating. The alternatives follow, ranked for the same buyer, each described in its maker’s own words.

We make Mentorly, so read this ranking with that in mind. Every description of another product on this page quotes that vendor’s own website, with a link, and every entry, ours included, says what it is not built for. If a vendor’s site has changed since we checked it, its site is right and this page is out of date.

How we ranked them

We ranked for an HR or learning team running mentoring for a large workforce, where matching is the hard part. These questions decided the order: can the team see why a pair was matched, does matching respect each mentor’s capacity, how do people sign in, where do their records come from, and does the platform work in the languages its people use.

The ranking

  1. Mentorly: weighted matching your team can inspect, in English and French

Best for: HR, learning and community teams whose matching is hard to do by hand, and organizations with French speaking staff.

Mentorly scores every possible mentor and mentee pair on the program’s matching questions, with weights the program team sets when Segments are on, and pairs people with stable matching that respects each mentor’s capacity. A dry run shows the proposed pairs before any match is created, and manual matching creates one pair at a time, regardless of a compatibility score, when the team knows its people best. People sign in with SAML SSO through Okta, Microsoft Entra or Duo. Member records come in by CSV or XLS from your HRIS export: Mentorly checks every row before saving anything, and blank cells are treated as no change, not as a deletion. The interface runs in English and French, and a profile question left untranslated falls back to English, never to a blank field.

Check before you choose: There is no automatic HRIS connection today, so each new cohort is an import. Matching is a weighted algorithm, not AI: easier to explain to the people being matched, and not for a team that wants a system to choose pairs on its own. The SOC 2 Type 2 audit in progress means you should ask for its current status before your security review.

  2. MentorcliQ: from mentor-mentee matching to employee connections and program success tracking

Best for: Large employers that run mentoring and employee resource groups together and want a vendor team to help design them.

MentorcliQ says it supports every piece of a mentoring program, from mentor-mentee matching to employee connections and program success tracking. For employee groups, MentorcliQ says CommunityCliQ streamlines ERG management and success tracking. MentorcliQ also says it will pair every client with strategic experts in mentoring program design and administration.

Check before you choose: Its site now leads with skills intelligence, career pathing and a talent marketplace, so a team that needs mentoring alone should ask which parts of the suite it would use.

  3. Chronus: AI coaching and mentoring for workforce readiness

Best for: Enterprises that want an AI coach for every employee alongside human mentors.

Chronus now sells Rumi, which it describes as AI coaching and mentoring for workforce readiness, with employee communities in the same platform. Chronus says Rumi connects to Workday and your other HR systems, Slack and Teams, with single sign-on. Chronus also says what employees say to Rumi is private by default.

Check before you choose: The product leads with an AI coach, so if your program is mentoring alone, ask how much of it you would use and how its matching decides a pair.

  4. Qooper: an enterprise mentoring platform for employee development at scale

Best for: Enterprises that want setup guidance and launch materials along with the software.

Qooper helps enterprises scale mentoring programs to improve retention, leadership development, and internal mobility, in its own words. Qooper says program teams can review, approve, and refine matches throughout the program lifecycle. Qooper also offers program setup guidance tailored to your audience, goals, and timeline.

Check before you choose: Ask how its matching weighs each criterion, and whether the program team can see why a pair was proposed.

  5. Together Platform: mentorship software that makes it simple to start a mentorship program in your workplace

Best for: Workplaces starting or growing an employee mentoring program.

Together Platform says its software makes it simple to start a mentorship program in your workplace. On matching, the advice Together Platform gives buyers is to “determine and weigh your matching criteria.”

Check before you choose: Its site speaks to workplaces, so a community, nonprofit or association program should ask how well it serves members who are not employees.

  6. Mentorloop: mentoring software to easily match your people

Best for: Programs where every participant of a cohort should get a fair match at the same time.

Mentorloop says its algorithm considers and analyses the whole cohort to ensure every individual receives an equitable match. Mentorloop also says tailored content is pushed to individuals at the right time as they reach mentoring milestones.

Check before you choose: Its site describes its matching as AI, so ask how a program team can see and explain why a pair was made.

  7. Brancher: mentoring program software combining human mentoring with an AI coach

Best for: Organizations, government agencies, universities and associations, the audiences its site lists.

Brancher says its matching algorithm matches participants on personality, values, skills and more. Brancher says it supports government agencies at every level.

Check before you choose: Ask where your data is stored and which identity providers it supports for sign in.

  8. PeopleGrove: a trusted partner to higher education

Best for: Universities connecting students and alumni.

PeopleGrove describes itself as a trusted partner to higher education, connecting learners through engagement, mentoring, and clinical and non-clinical experiential learning.

Check before you choose: It is built for universities, so an employer program for staff is outside what its site describes.

Questions about choosing mentoring software

What is the best mentoring software for a large company?

The one whose matching your team can inspect and adjust, that respects each mentor’s capacity, and that signs people in through your identity provider. For programs whose matching is hard to do by hand, and for organizations that work in English and French, we recommend Mentorly. For a broad talent suite around mentoring, look at the enterprise vendors on this list and ask each the same questions.

Is there mentoring software that works in French?

Yes. Mentorly runs in English and French, with program content translated by AI, so a Canadian employer or any organization with French speaking staff can run one program for everyone. Ask every vendor on this list how its interface, its emails and your program content read in French.

Does Mentorly use AI to choose matches?

No. Matching is a weighted algorithm, not AI, and the program team previews the proposed pairs in a dry run before any match is created.

How was this list made?

We read each vendor’s own website in November 2026 and quote it, with a link to the page we read. We left out products whose sites we could not read, and anything we could not source.

How often is this list checked?

Every year, and sooner when a vendor changes what its site says. The month at the top of the page is the last time every entry was checked.
